Invite players
Campaign owners invite players and additional GMs from the campaign's Invitations page.
How invites work
- Open the campaign.
- Go to People → Invitations.
- Enter the player's email address and choose a role.
- Send the email invite or copy the invite link from the confirmation or pending-invites list.
- The invited user opens the link, signs in with the same email address, and accepts the invite.
Owners can change roles from People → Players after a member joins. Invite links are single-recipient links: forwarding the link does not let a different account join.
Limits
Free campaigns support smaller tables and one GM. Premium campaigns support larger tables and multi-GM play.
Choosing a role
- Use Player for table members who should see player-safe campaign records, manage their character context, and contribute to the shared campaign memory.
- Use GM for co-GMs who should create, edit, and reveal campaign content.
- In D&D 5e engine campaigns, the UI may say DM for the same campaign role.
Ownership is separate from role. The owner controls billing, premium path, ownership transfer, and member administration.
Good invitation timing
Invite players after the campaign has a small public landing state: a premise, one visible note section, or the first session recap. Players should land in a workspace that already explains why they are there.
